The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex twice world title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers participated in the usual face-off, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly happening.
